Health and Safety Manual
I wanted to find out if anyone has a health and safety manual at their school. I have recently been assigned to oversee our nursing staff as part of the Director of Student Support Services. We have no procedures or handbook on nursing and how we handle various needs (diabetic plan, athsma plan, etc.). We have a standard health plan that we use, but I am working on developing an handbook that encomppases more than this. I want to include protocols for emergencies, communication structures. etc. Do any of your school's have a handbook such as this that you could share? Good Day Kristi,
I have samples of handbooks that I have used for student safeguarding but not medical. In developing those I pulled information from guides that I found online for schools that were guided by national health systems. You will still need to adapt them but there are some great protocols out there.
