ISLES connects the school-wide leaders of Student Support in international schools — people in positions built for strategic-level program development, not just casework.
Membership gives you professional learning and a network of peers doing the same work, in the same kind of role, around the world.

Membership is free!

SECTION 2 — WHICH ONE IS FOR YOU?

Member vs Community

ISLES MEMBER

For people currently in, or about to start, a school-wide Student Support leadership role (not a classroom or case-management position) at an international school.

See Section 3 for the full list of what membership includes.

ISLES COMMUNITY

For anyone who cares about this work but isn't in a school-wide leadership role. See Section 4 for what Community includes.

Not sure which fits? Community is the right starting point if you're not yet in a leadership role — you can move to full Membership when your role changes.

SECTION 3 — MEMBER BENEFITS

Joining as an ISLES Member

  • A member directory — a password-protected list of Student Support leaders worldwide, and you're on it too.

  • ISLES Connect — four quarterly virtual sessions for leadership, where you'll share problems of practice and expertise on issues
international schools face, like recruiting, child safeguarding, and scheduling.

  • The member forum — ask questions, answer others', and share resources with peers doing your job.

  • The State of Student Support report and dashboard — contribute your school's data and get access to the compiled report
and visual dashboard showing how student support is structured across schools.

  • Membership Trios — an optional program for directors who want a closer, small-group connection with a couple of peers.

  • Project Teams — join one of four teams working on ISLES priorities: Membership Experience, Leadership Advocacy, Professional Learning, or Communications & Marketing.

  • Professional learning events — four a year, featuring guest speakers and experts sharing best practices in inclusion.

In return, we ask members to contribute:
share resources through the directory or forum, and submit your school's data for the State of Student Support report.

SECTION 4 — COMMUNITY BENEFITS

Joining as ISLES Community Gives You

  • Professional learning events — four a year, featuring guest speakers and experts sharing best practices in inclusion.
